Author Donna Grant does it again by creating a great spin-off of the Dark Kings series… it’s exciting, unique, and has an amazing new storyline!

Jeyra the main female character is feisty, smart and a ferocious warrior. I love how her mind thinks and rationalizes out situations as they occur. One of her best qualities was being able to pivot and shift through the lies.

The main male character is the Dragon King Varek who Jeyra captures from his world and brings to her world for prosecution. And from there the story just gets more complex and thrilling.

This new world is quite different from the author’s other worlds, and I enjoyed it very much. There are a variety of subplots going on that leave the reader knowing there will be more books to the series and the way this world is created it feels other worldly and undefinable. I liked not knowing anything about the land and the people. It’s all fresh and new but with characters from her other series giving it a feeling of old family meeting new family.

This is an exciting new series.
