This is the perfect book to read when you want an entertaining easy read. It had well rounded characters with lots of personality and attitude to keep the reader laughing and involved with the plot.

I admired Esmeralda and felt the author did a superb job of showing how a woman can move forward with her life creating a safe world for herself and her sister against all odds. The author did a phenomenal job of the plot development of Esmeralda’s secret that was exposed further into the book. The chemistry between Esmeralda and Griffin is extremely hot and “fan your face” worthy.

The Duke of Griffin was an attention getter in many ways but the time that stood to me was at the ending when he was helping Josephine deal with the Napoleon situation. What a surprising twist to this man!

Secondary characters were all attention grabbing and I look forward to reading more about them in the next two books to this trilogy.
